Content Marketing + Social Media = Powerful Combination

Developing well-written content only goes so far. Great content doesn’t distribute itself and needs a vehicle for people to pass it along, discuss the material, argue over its main points and to blog it, Facebook it, and Tweet it. This is where social media comes in. Social media is an excellent tool for distributing content. Your content is the hook that helps you land and catch the fish.

Social media works in two ways. People come to your site, get the solutions they are looking for, and then log onto their social media networks to tell their followers about your website – “Hey, check out this great SEO site I found.” The post then gets spread virally via social media over the next month. Retweets and sharing the information leads to increase in website traffic.

Content writers and people can also post their own blogs, tweets and comments on social media sites to attract people to their own site. This type of content marketing is effective because you can trigger their interest using keywords and shortened phrases.

By utilizing social media networks for content marketing, you are able to tap into millions of people who use social media. By targeting ones interested in your site, you can build relationships and are able to access their thoughts, opinions and needs. By providing useful information and answering comment questions, you are gaining their trust and respect.

Content marketing and social media go hand-in-hand. Using social media sites to distribute content reaches out to people and builds online communities. When people are seeking information, social media will make sure they know where to find your site. After all, increased traffic on your site could mean increased revenue.

Thanks for the information, it makes alot of sense. I find the time it takes to keep up with the social media is huge. I do think it is true, that like anything else the social aspect can make or break a site.

  2. What you said made a lot of sense. But, think about this, what if you added a little content? I mean, I dont want to tell you how to run your blog, but what if you added something to maybe get peoples attention? Just like a video or a picture or two to get people excited about what youve got to say. In my opinion, it would make your blog come to life a little bit.
