How many fans do you have?

So now you have a twitter, Facebook and maybe even a YouTube channel. After you put any program in place. You need to calculate, set new goals, and then perform, this is no different. But how do you measure social media efforts?

First set some goals. Increase all your Facebook Fans, Twitter followers, blog testimonials, posting and retweets.

Counting your fans and followers is easy, tracking the deliverance of coupons is not hard either, and on the other hand measuring commitment is a tough one.  How do you know if your fans are reading your posts, and if your posts have any meaning to them

For Futureranking.com Facebook, the fan page supervisor has access to analytics called Facebook Insights.  There you can check weekly metrics such as total fans, new fan, lost fans, number of postings, numbers clicks, etc. Not nearly as wide-ranging as Google Analytics, but well on its way.

For FutureRanking Twitter, getting information is a lot tougher. It’s easy to track groups and you can use tools like TweetMeme to give confidence and track retweets.  A fascinating website called WeFollow tries to evaluate influence’s for certain topics. If you want to get serious about monitoring and measuring social Media marketing efforts, you’d be wise to provide in a strong tool.
