There were reports of cyber spies copy writing Indian government documents and Visa information using phishing email, and a bot network embedded by social media. They stole over 700 confidential documents. Among these are of Indian missile systems, the private correspondences of the Dalai, Lama.
Some believe that the secrets that were recovered from the stolen documents will fall into the government of China’s hands. They used the most available resources to them as a command station, such as social media like; Google groups, BlogSpot, Twitter, baidue blogs, yahoo mail, and blog.com. Through these connections routed through social networking sites, the hackers were able to go through undetected.
What’s amazing is that they could do all this in front of everyone and no one even notice anything. I mean they used 5 yahoo mail accounts, 3 Twitter, 12 Google group, 8 BlogSpot, 9 Baidu blogs, and 16 blog.com. You think that someone would be able to see something right. It seems as though the Social Media is getting a little out of control and dangerous.
